A BIT OF VINTAGE

Well girls this was going to be an entry in the Just Add Ink Challenge this week gone but I had to opt out this week. Vintage and myself should not normally be mentioned in the same sentence!!! A challenge it was so I thought I'd give it a go. The card I was making was going to end up very similar to Bronwyn Eastley's when I had a look at the entries, so in the end I did a CASE of her card. It was for my friend Jen who surprised us all by getting married last week to a wonderful guy Leighton. We had a long overdue catch up on Friday which was fantastic and a visit to the blue and yellow Swedish heaven IKEA. We are so over the moon for them both and the sentiment on the card felt just right for them. So cheers and hugs Jen & Leighton to many happy years.

GORGEOUS ASH IS 21

Hi everyone!! I'm sure there is some veeeeeeeeeeeery sore heads out there this morning!!! Last night was Ashleigh's circus themed 21st. It was a fantastic night I went minus Gary who came down with a tummy bug, I just think he didn't want to go as a lion!!! That is me 1st left as the clown...amazing how many people recognise me. The next pic is me with Ash the great ringmaster, she designed and made her amazing outfit. Won't go through the others but a big thankyou to Kellie and Jayne for their amazing readings as fortune tellers with a pack of Jim Beam playing cards...I was rivetted!!! Oh! Can't leave Janice out who had us mesmerised with her miming skills that just got better as the night went on!!!
Kath & Lionel are so proud, you are such a gorgeous girl Ash, thanks for sharing your night!!!
Thought I better put in the card I made Ash, I thought it was very Ash, hope she liked it.

I apologise for the marks on some of the photos, I had a smear on my lens DOH!!!

JUST ADD INK #13

The girls over at JAI have come up with a nice earthy colour combo, as soon as I feasted my eyes on the colours I couldn't wait to play!!! You must take a look at the Design Team submissions, they are amazing.
Below is my creation...but I have a confession to make. There was not a scrap of Barely Banana in my stash so I had to use So Saffron. I hope this is OK girls.
I know I am yonkers behind everyone else but I got all my newbies yesterday so I had my 1st play with the birdie punch....I LOVE IT!!! Sadly no Big Shot yet but my birthday is soon, so my wonderful hubby may come good there!!! I have dropped enough not so subtle hints!!! Stay tuned for lots more new(old for everyone else) creations with new colours and stamps.

A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR EASTER

We are going out to breakfast on Easter Sunday with some friends and their kids to a new cafe in Pottsville called White Jade (they do amazing food and coffees if you are in the area). I thought I would do them up some Easter choccies in the colours of their cafe to say Happy Easter. I don't own an Easter Stamp so a thankyou for breakfast will hit the spot I'm sure. We are pretty game going to breakfast with sugar fueled kids, if they aren't mental by then we certainly will be!!!

The little bag below is just made from 1/2 vertical A4 sheet and the Word Window punch at the top and you can decorate with whatever colours and papers that you like. Score each side of the centre to how tall you want your bag to create the base. Eazy Peazy!!!

STAMP SET : Oval All (retired)
CARDSTOCK : Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White & Walk in the Park DSP (retired)

PUNCHES : Scallop Edge & Circle, Wide Oval, Large Oval, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 Circle & Word Window
MISC : Stampin Dimensionals, Cadbury Easter Eggs, Medium Cellophane Bag
